In a video that Futuro Vegetal published on social media, you can see how two activists are arrested by agents after they have painted the bottom of a column of the famous cathedral with paint, while calling “climate justice.”
“With this protest, we denounce the lack of government measures against the climate crisis and the consequences of this for the fires that destroyed Spain and a large part of Europe this summer,” said Futuro Vegetal in a statement.
Spain was hit by a series of large forest fires in August. Four people died and more than 350,000 hectares were destroyed.
