Borussia Dortmund is close to winning the German championship. For the final home game between BVB and 1. FSV Mainz 05, tickets in the four-digit range are being traded on the black market. The association reacts to the usury madness.
“BVB expressly warns against ticket purchases via unauthorized, unofficial or illegal black market platforms,” said the club on its website.
BVB further warned: “The great interest in the game means that first-time buyers are taking advantage of this to make a high profit from the sale of tickets by selling them on platforms such as Viagogo, ebay, classified ads or in the immediate vicinity of the stadium offer inflated prices. Often these are counterfeit or blocked tickets that do not authorize entry.”
The association is working with a law firm “to take action against these providers and sellers with the utmost consistency”. “In addition to legal consequences, BVB revokes the right of first refusal and any existing season tickets,” the statement said.

Two standing room tickets (regular price: 18.50 euros each) for a whopping 2,490 euros were recently sold over the virtual table on the online marketplace ebay. It’s not the only immoral offer above the €1,000 mark.
