According to information from “Sky”, Leroy Sané basically wants to stay in Munich. He would probably even be willing to sacrifice his salary for this.
After a conversation between Sané’s side and sports director Max Eberl two weeks ago, there is still no written offer for the winger. This is what “Sky” reports. According to the TV station, some Munich bosses expect even better performance from the DFB player.
In the current season, Sané has 16 appearances and three goals and one assist.
This year, the Bayern professional repeatedly struggled with injuries and had groin surgery after the European Championships.
Leroy Sané and the salary question
A decision on Sané’s future will probably not be made until spring. Eberl is basically ready to extend the contract with the offensive man. However, the prerequisite is reduced and performance-related conditions in the new contract, according to the report. Sané is expected to earn around three million euros as a basic salary at FCB.
According to “Sky” information, Sané is even prepared to cut his salary. On the one hand, he wants to reach for titles with FCB that he hasn’t won yet, i.e. Champions League and DFB Cup. In addition, he should feel very comfortable in the Munich team.
Bayern are said to continue to be Sané’s first priority and the first point of contact when it comes to questions about the future. But if the Bayern bosses lower their thumb, he would also be willing to look for a new club in the summer. “Preferably a top league abroad” is mentioned. There are said to be interested parties from the English Premier League, among others. A move to Saudi Arabia is definitely not an issue.
