Clear deadline for a possible Freiburg protest

The control committee of the German Football Association (DFB) would only start investigations after FC Bayern’s substitution if SC Freiburg raised an objection.

“The control committee is not involved as long as Freiburg does not object,” said chairman Anton Nachreiner when asked by SID. There is a period of 48 hours for a protest, so the people of Breisgau would have to act by Monday afternoon.

He finds this procedure “absurd,” said SC trainer Christian Streich on Saturday evening in the ZDF current sports studio: “There are rules for everything, there are no objections to corner kicks or free kicks. I am firmly convinced that there is a set of rules.”

Sports director Jochen Saier had explained to “Sky” that Freiburg would “cook down” after 1: 4 (0: 0) and then “think” about how to proceed.

In the 86th minute, Munich played with twelve men for 16 seconds after Kingsley Coman failed to leave the field in time in a double substitution.
