As it seems now, the fire has not led to major damage. The traffic over the viaduct is therefore no danger. “Tomorrow there will be an inspector from Rijkswaterstaat. He will see if we might have to perform repair work because of the heat that has arisen,” says Bas de Jong of Cleaning Company Intrex. “But if we judge it now, it doesn’t seem to be the case and it is safe.”
Cleaning takes two days. The road is therefore closed during the day.
