Claudia de Breij hopes Johan Derksen will return to the tube

Claudia de Breij thinks it is ridiculous that Johan Derksen has been canceled by all theaters in the country. The comedian also hopes that he will simply return to the tube after the summer.

Johan Derksen has lost everything in a few days because of his slip with the candle story. Although he says he did not do anything inappropriate with an unconscious woman fifty years ago, the career of the 73-year-old football analyst is suddenly completely over. And that goes a long way, says Claudia de Breij.

Cowardly theatres

According to Claudia, it is a travesty that Johan has been canceled by the Dutch theaters. “You have a lot of rather cowardly theater directors who now say: ‘No, no, no, that performance is no longer with us, that performance with Johan Derksen about blues.’ Yes, I think that’s cowardly,” she says in the talk show Khalid & Sophie

Why? “You know who he is,” says the comedian. Although she also thinks Johan herself is ‘cowardly’ because of the way he reacts. “All this time you have earned very well because you were walking on the edge, that was the revenue model, then you fall over the edge and then the sponsors say: hey! Money, like water, seeks the path of least resistance.”

Sophie agrees

Hostess Sophie Hilbrand also thinks the end of Today Inside is a shame. “They sit on the edge and therefore make a lot of things negotiable. They are now stopping and this was of course a really bad story, but perhaps a voice is also very much lost because of it.”

Sjuul Paradijs, former boss of De Telegraaf: “A lot of Dutch people are going to miss this. They are going to miss their friends and I do too.”

Back on television

Claudia is hopeful that Johan will simply return to the tube after the summer. “I really think Johan Derksen is the Heintje Davids of our time. I also hope that we are not rid of him and I also think that we are not yet rid of him.”

Sophie agrees: “No, I don’t think so either.”

hypocritical

Humberto Tan thinks taking VI off the tube is a bit hypocritical, he says NPO Radio 1† “You can either love it or you don’t. I have also often been the subject of criticism, but at the same time you know what you get, have and keep. Isn’t this also a consequence of who you have on the channel? They are just the way they are. There is nothing new about that.”

He is also counting on a TV comeback from Johan. “I have yet to see it. It was exactly the same with that racist guy. Then the sponsors also left, they all thought it was terrible, but they all came back. Johan has returned, the men have returned. Even now I see the same movement.”

Fragment

There was also plenty of discussion at Jinek about the end of VI:
