Clap for Eisbären Berlin in the basement duel of the DEL

The decline of the Eisbären Berlin in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) continues.

At the end of the 25th match day, the champions lost 2:6 (0:3, 1:0, 1:3) at the Schwenninger Wild Wings and had to let their neighbors in the basement pass them in the table.

Leader Red Bull Munich, meanwhile, did not show any weakness at the Iserlohn Roosters.

In Schwenningen, the polar bears experienced a first third to forget. The Wild Wings comfortably took the lead thanks to three goals from Canadian twin brothers Tylor (14′) and Tyson Spink (18’/20′) – and pulled away unstoppably in the final section.

After the prestige win against the defending champion, Schwenningen is now two points ahead of the disappointing Eisbären in twelfth place in the table.

Seventh DEL success in a row for Red Bull Munich

Meanwhile, the runners-up from Munich continued to circle undisturbed at the top of the table thanks to a 5-0 (1-0, 3-0, 1-0) thrashing in Iserlohn.

After the lead by national player Justin Schütz (19th), coach Don Jackson’s team continuously increased the score.

Thanks to the seventh DEL victory in a row, the lead over the first pursuer Adler Mannheim is already eight points.

Champions League Round of 16 Straubing Tigers defeated Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven 4:3 (1:0, 0:2, 3:1) and edged the North Germans up to one point. For Bremerhaven it was the seventh bankruptcy in the past nine league games.
