Claire’s is reassigning the role of Chief Merchandising Officer

The US retail chain Claire’s has appointed Claudia Lima-Guinehut to the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer.

In her new role, Lima-Guinehut will oversee the company’s merchandising, sourcing and design strategy and be responsible for the retail chain’s piecercing business, Claire’s announced on Monday. She reports directly to Chief Executive Office Ryan Vero.

Lima-Guinehut joins Claire’s from children’s fashion retailer The Children’s Place. There she was most recently Senior Vice President, Global Merchandising and Strategic Partnerships, responsible for the company’s product strategies. Previously, she held various positions at retail companies such as Zara, Ralph Lauren and Destination Maternity.

“I look forward to continuing the tradition at Claire’s of bringing the brand’s beloved customers, especially the younger generation, global fashion products and piercings that delight them and continue to drive the business forward,” said Lima-Guinea Hut.
