London (AP) – The title race in England’s Premier League remains very close. After Liverpool’s 1-0 (1-0) win at Newcastle United, Manchester City regained the lead in the table just a few hours later with a 4-0 (1-0) win at Leeds United.

Pep Guardiola’s team is one point ahead of Jürgen Klopp and his Reds four games before the end of the season. Rodrigo put the Cityzens on course for victory with his goal in the 13th minute. Nathan Aké (54′), Gabriel Jesus (78′) and Fernandinho (90′) allayed any doubts about Man City’s next win.

Previously, former RB Leipzig professional Naby Keita secured Liverpool’s success in Newcastle with his goal in the 19th minute. It was the 12th win in the last 13 league games for Klopp’s side. The cult coach extended his contract early on Thursday until June 30, 2026.
