Stop the circus! The climate radicals of the so-called “Last Generation” have been staying in a circus tent in Berlin-Pankow for the past two and a half weeks. But now the operator is probably terminating the rental agreement.

The climate extremists have been using the Mond Circus tent at the Greifswalder Straße S-Bahn station (Prenzlauer Berg) since October 16th as their “common room” – for eating and discussing, for example.

After BZ reported on it, tent owner Max Mohr suddenly expressed concerns in the Berliner Morgenpost: “We would rather have tenants with less media presence.” He felt increasingly uncomfortable after the location became known and was afraid of opponents of the climate adhesives.

The result: According to the Berliner Morgenpost, the circus wants to terminate the rental agreement on Thursday! The climate chaotics, on the other hand, write in an internal chat: “The situation […] will be clarified in the next few days – so far there are no changes or decisions. That thing about Thursday isn’t right. Let’s keep the ball flat, otherwise there will only be unrest.”

When asked by BZ, neither the circus nor the “Last Generation” could be reached.
