International cooperation for a textile circular economy: Circular Textile Days, the leading international B2B event for sustainable textiles based in the Netherlands, is entering into a strategic partnership with the Datipilot Innovation Community Circular Textiles of the Technical University of Augsburg (THA). The aim of the collaboration is to strengthen the European innovative strength in the area of circular textile industry and to create new opportunities for cross -border knowledge exchange.
Textile circular economy as well as transparency and traceability used materials are very high on the EU agenda. Due to the long -term partnership with the Circular Textile Days, Cirtex is now available to present a European platform to present solutions, network with relevant actors and to advance sustainable change in the textile industry. In this way, innovative German projects receive international visibility.
“Germany has a strong research and innovation base in the field of textile technology. At the same time, there is a clear need to convert these findings more quickly into circular practical solutions,” said Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Schlichter (Tha). “The Circular Textile Days offer us an excellent platform to present our work results, make partnerships and promote cross -border scientific dialogue.”
Cirtex is a German innovation network that is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space Travel and coordinated by the Augsburg Technical University. It combines over 250 actors from business, science, politics and civil society. By the end of 2028, the network actively designed the textile value chain towards more resource efficiency, circularity and future viability in around 20 innovation projects from all over Germany. With practical results and innovative science communication, Cirtex makes an important contribution to the implementation of a circular textile industry in Germany.
As a central European event for circulatory and sustainable textiles, the Circular Textile Days brands, suppliers, innovators as well as political decision -makers bring together. The new partnership underlines the core mission of the event: enable real cooperation and impact – as well as implement knowledge in concrete use. The Messe Circular Textile Days is an international B2B event based in the Netherlands, which wants to significantly advance the transformation towards a sustainable and fully circular textile industry. The fifth edition of the fair will take place on September 10 and 11, 2025 in S ‘Hertogenbosch (the Bosch) in the Netherlands.
