Cinema tickets for Neil Young’s “Harvest Time” documentary

Neil Young’s probably most famous record “Harvest” celebrates its 50th anniversary. ROLLING STONE is giving away cinema tickets for the development documentary “Harvest Time” for Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Munich.

The film runs exclusively worldwide on December 1st and 4th in these cinemas. In addition, the “‘Harvest’ 50th Anniversary Box” including the film will be available from December 2nd. More information about the set here.

The documentary: “An intimate journey through the ‘Harvest’ album”

The 1971 documentary takes viewers on a journey through the making of Harvest (1972). The film stops at the “Harvest Barn” session, Young’s performance together with the London Symphony Orchestra, as well as in Nashville, where the young Neil Young worked on various pieces of the record. In addition, the musician has recorded an introduction for the cinema screenings, which will be broadcast exclusively for the visitors.

Most of the tracks from “Harvest” sound in the film. Particularly well-known tracks are “Heart of Gold”, “A Man Needs A Maid”, “Alabama” and “Old Man”.

In addition to Neil Young, other roles include: Jack Nitzsche, Ben Keith, Tim Drummond, Kenny Buttrey and John Harris. Bernard Shakey directed.
