Google says he has fixed the problem with Chromecast media. Owners of second -generation Chromecastie and Chromecast Audios were unfortunately surprised just over a week ago when the equipment was completely prevented.
Google has regretted problems but has not revealed the cause of the fault. US technology publication The Verge In his article, he doubted that the Reddit discussions were based that the cause may have been, for example, in an outdated certificate.
Darkening the equipment globally due to the manufacturer’s own suede is not common, but not completely unheard of now.
Google posted a message on their support forum on Thursdaywhere he said he was sharing the problem that corrects the problem. The company promised to correct the problem within a few days, and it will be installed automatically as long as Chromecast is connected to the network.
Compensation? Unnecessary trouble
Iltalehti asked the Consumer Association whether the Chromecast owner could be entitled to some kind of refund if the problem was caused by Google.
In this case, according to the expert, it is not particularly worthwhile to dream of compensation, as the age of the device is of great importance to weighing the matter. The second -generation Chromecast is about ten years since the launch of Chromecast, and it would probably be deemed to have ended.

– If a permanent malfunction is minor or lasts for a relatively short time, the consumer may have the right to reduce price reduction. Price reduction may be required from the seller. It is enough to justify the fact that the device’s inactivity or malfunction is due to the update.
