It was a real tradition: on Christmas Day every boxing fan came to Izegem for the Christmas boxing gala, but that has changed. The Christmas boxing meeting will now take place in Gits, in the new boxing hall of Boxing Team Houtland. The number of spectators had dropped for several years in a row and so they opted for a smaller-scale version of the boxing meeting on Christmas Day… in Gits.
