The new album PARANOÏA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE by Christine and the Queens will be released on June 9th, 2023. Today, Thursday (March 9th), the first single “To Be Honest” and the accompanying video, which was filmed on the English coast, were released , published.
Christine and the Queens co-produced the album with Mike Dean, who has worked with Lana Del Rey and Beyoncé. In addition to 070 Shake, Madonna will also be heard on three songs.
Chris says of the album that it is “the second part of a work [ist], which also includes REDCAR LES ADORABLES ÉTOILES from last year. It is inspired by the wonderful dramaturgy of Tony Kushner’s iconic play ANGELS IN AMERICA. Redcar felt colorful and absurd, like the character Prior being sent into his insane Dreamspace. Follow-up PARANOÏA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE is the key to a heart-opening transformation, a prayer to the Self – one that breathes through all the loves that make it up. Prior’s real agony in ANGELS IN AMERICA is a deep, aching becoming, the shedding of all water and memory, which then allows the angels too to dive deep and return an intimate, story-altering love—a resting in true love.”
