Chris Woerts is not exactly the favorite Today Inside guest. He is attacked in both the right-wing Telegraaf and the left-wing NRC. “That man is truly beyond shame,” he says.
We see him every now and then in the talk shows of SBS 6: Chris Woerts. It is unclear exactly why, but the editors are clearly crazy about him. Critics are slightly less enthusiastic. He is both attacked by the right in one day Telegraph as the left NRC. Both media are extremely negative about VI’s regular guest.
Shame is over
Mark Koster, a direct colleague of VI guest Tina Nijkamp, thinks Chris is terrible. “Food on television is unappetizing. The moving mouth with food in it is one of the least attractive images on the television,” he says.
He continues The Telegraph. “Chris Woerts, a coke-addicted sports marketer, ignored this law and devoured a meatball in Today Inside.”
Disgusting
Mark thinks that’s disgusting. “Chris is the man of the summer at Talpa. He is beyond shame. We see him dancing and singing at the edge of the swimming pool in Curaçao, and they laugh along in the studio.”
Apparently Chris can afford anything now that he has acquired the World Cup images, he concludes. “The meatball-munching Chris Woerts is beyond shame after a top deal for Talpa.”
Happy anticipation
That meatball moment is too sad for words, says Amber Wiznitzer of NRC. “He stuck his fork into such a ball and brought it to his open mouth, with his tongue far out in happy anticipation. Unfortunately: half the ball fell to the ground. Arend Jan almost laughed himself off his chair (‘ji-hi-hi-a-ha-ha’).”
What sad television, she thinks. “Wilfred hoped that they had captured it well; those images just had to be repeated.”
With disdain
Johan Derksen thinks she is a sour woman, he reveals in Today Inside. “They all look down on us with disdain and they should continue to do so.”
Wilfred: “I assume she also works at NRC for that, right?”
Johan concludes: “Yes, the NRC and the Volkskrant have that very strongly. They consider themselves intellectual and we are the stupid people.”
Striking: not a bad word about Tina’s equally critical colleague.
