Chocolate egg giant test: 14 eggs in order of superiority

We tested 14 Easter chocolate eggs that were found in K- and S-Markets and Lidl.

Iltalehti’s jury consisting of adults and children tasted and scored the Easter chocolate eggs. The jury evaluates each product as a whole without seeing the packaging.

The novelties did well. The most divided opinions were the fruit and salted caramel fillings — some loved them and some hated them. The children’s jury gave the highest points to what adults thought were excessively sweet flavors. Good surprises increased the rating, but bad ones didn’t matter much to them.

Although the testers thought that the quality of the chocolate eggs was good on average, the familiar classics clearly came out on top. On the other hand, Mignon turned out to satisfy a slightly more adult chocolate craving, and Kinder only tasted good to white chocolate lovers.

The beautiful appearance made the testers expect more from the product. According to the jury, some of the chocolate eggs were even suitable as decorations. Especially the thick shells and the coincidences in the filling garnered praise.
