Chocolate breaks records in Flanders: exceptionally large entry and output in 2024

For the first time, chocolate and cocoa products catch up with dairy products as the most important agricultural export product in Flanders. In 2024, the export of chocolate and cocoa products peaked to 4.8 billion euros. That is an increase of 33 percent compared to 2023. Imports even increased by 79 percent to 3.7 billion euros. There are cocoa products number one.
