Chiro Kuurne had to leave the campsite for a while due to rainfall and stayed in tents from Pukkelpop

The announcement on social media was promising: it had to be a fantastic tent camp for Chiro Sint-Michiel from Kuurne in Kiewit, near Hasselt in Limburg. But yesterday morning heavy showers seemed to decide otherwise. Their camp site was completely flooded yesterday morning.

After intervention by the mayor, part of the group was allowed to spend the night at the Pukkelpop festival site, in the backstage area. Quite a stroke of luck, because that way the youth movement did not have to break up the camp and after a short break they can still turn it into a ‘promising’ camp.

Nice detail: the camp theme revolves around festivals, and was suddenly lifelike.
