Chinese workers in BYD factory in Brazil signed contracts with abuse clauses

Chinese workers who were hired by BYD contractor Jinjiang, a manufacturer of electric cars, in Brazil, signed contracts with ‘abuse clauses’. This is reported by the Reuters news agency. According to labor inspection services, they lived in “humiliating circumstances”, and several clauses were out of their contract for forced labor. The Brazilian authorities intervened after reports of “slavery-like” circumstances.
