Just days after the United States announced stricter rules on the export of advanced computer chips to China, Beijing is responding with countermeasures. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday that it is launching an investigation into possible dumping of less advanced American chips on the Chinese market. The country also wants to determine whether the US unfairly favors its own chip industry.
