Chilling video released – Surveillance camera recorded the moment before Benjamin Kiplagat’s murder

Steeplechase By Benjamin Kiplagat new surveillance camera footage of the murder has become public.

A 34-year-old Ugandan was found dead in his car on New Year’s Eve. He had been stabbed in the neck in Kenya near the town of Eldoret.

The surveillance camera video shows how the endurance race athlete runs away from his suspected murderers, but crashes his car into a ditch.

Two men are running after the pick-up truck. When the car crashes into a ditch, a man dressed in a suit seems to show a sign to his colleague, who is waiting a short distance away. He also sets off after that.

The police have since arrested the suspects.

Kenyan Tuko website according to the video was recorded at one in the morning. Police suspect that the men chased Kiplagat on motorcycles and ended up stabbing the athlete when he tried to run away in an attempt to run over them.

The suspects are around 30 years old and they have also committed other crimes in the vicinity of Eldoret. A knife was found in the possession of another man.

Citizen Digital website says that other persons may have been involved in the murder.

Eldoret is a popular residential area for top athletes, which is why it also attracts criminals. The security of the area worries the authorities.
