An all-round negative experience

Pain is an all-encompassing negative experience for everyone, but for women its effects are more varied than for men: if on the one hand it causes greater physical weakness (51% vs 39% men), it also generates greater stress (44% vs 35% men), nervousness (51% vs 42% men) and sadness (20% vs 11% men).

In Italian women, pain affects the ability to work and carry out tasks (49% vs 40% of men), to travel (37% vs 31%) and also to take care of others (16% vs 9%). Stress, tension and worries (47% women vs 32%) and tiredness and little sleep (40% vs 29%) are considered the main causes of female pain.
