Chic loft in Flemish Ardennes as a hiding place: that’s how they could pick up Dutch couple for the kidnapping of their children

The two Dutch parents who kidnapped their two young children aged 11 and 6 across the border to our country were arrested on Monday night in a loft in the East Flemish village of Leupegem (Oudenaarde). The duo had rented the chic apartment on the N60 to challenge the procedure in Belgium against the children placed out of home. The couple has been involved for years in a battle for authority over their children.
