The Belgian chemical sector requires urgent measures from both Belgian and European authorities. Last year more than 1,150 jobs were lost in the sector, which is a worrying break after ten years of continuous growth. Essenscia, the sector federation of chemistry and life sciences, calls for direct action to prevent further decline.
