Chelsea FC: Consortium around billionaire Todd Boehly is awarded the contract

After long negotiations

Nothing is known about the amount of the offer from Boehly, which ultimately won the contract.

The previous owner, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, had put the London-based club up for sale before being hit with harsh sanctions by the British government for its close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who also ranked Chelsea – the fourth most valuable team in the world – met.
