Cheeru Mampaey, the maker of the docuseries about André Hazes Jr., denied in Eva Jinek’s talk show last night that she had an affair with the troubled folk singer.
André Hazes Jr. is once again looking for a lot of attention. He is currently on Videoland with a five-part series in which he extensively flirts with all his addictions and psychological problems. Crossroads, as the series is called, was created by the Flemish Mrs Cheeru Mampaey. She has also traveled with him several times.
‘I was shocked’
During one of those trips, Cheeru is said to have gone to André’s hotel room to pull on his fly. At least, that’s what Yvonne Coldeweijer claims, who has an impressive track record has in the field of Hazes-related matters. It wouldn’t surprise anyone, of course, especially since Cheeru now acts like a Hazes-groupie behaves.
Eva Jinek enjoys all those juice and that is why she asked Cheeru directly about it yesterday in her talk show on RTL 4. “I was shocked when I read it. I have to be honest, it didn’t do much for me. I myself know what is true and André knows what is true. I don’t really care what anyone else says. But I was shocked.”
juice channels
André is disgusted by juice channels like Yvonne’s, and Cheeru eagerly joins them. “I think it helped me understand him better. It’s quite something, those social media and – I’m going to call them anyway – the juice channels. But also newspapers, the regular newspapers, that take over those things.”
According to her, the media puts a lot of pressure on André. “Even if you say it doesn’t bother you, I’m saying that now… If it piles up and piles up, it does to you in the end something, I think.”
Friendly
It’s all purely friendly, Cheeru believes. “If you follow someone for a longer period of time, you form a bond. I really see him as a friend.”
And why has she closed the Hazes documentary now, since it has an open ending? “He was almost a year old cleanhe is doing very well, so it feels like: now you have to sort it out.”
