Checking out the Steam Winter Sale
As always, some classics are reduced during the offer period, which are always worth buying. But there are also a few newer titles that could be interesting for many.
Cyberpunk 2077 for 29.99 euros (-50%)
Originally announced in 2012 and only actually released in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 was a completely unfinished game despite a long development period. Not only was it plagued with glitches and outright lack of content, but it was virtually unplayable on consoles. There is a lot to praise for: the dense atmosphere of the cyberpunk Night City, the freely exploreable game world, a sophisticated crafting system and a number of exciting missions. In the meantime, developer CD Projekt has brought the game into shape with patches and DLCs and thus brought it out of the sink. In particular, the Edgerunners update and the Netflix series of the same name have drawn many players back into the cyberpunk world. Cyberpunk 2077 is now one of the top rated games in the Steam Winter Sale.
God of War (2018) for 29.99 euros (-40%)
The excellent adventure game was already on offer in the autumn sale – for the winter sale Steam has turned the price screw again. The game was released as a PS4 exclusive in 2018 and didn’t get a PC port until 2022. So PC gamers can also enjoy the excellent combat system and the still beautiful game world that invites you to explore. The gripping story is also a highlight of God of War. It is now no longer set in ancient Greece, but in Midgard. After the death of his wife, Kratos sets out with his son Atreus to scatter her ashes on the highest peak of all Nine Realms. Norse gods and monsters stand in their way.

Elden Ring for 41.99 euros (-30%)
A masterpiece like Elden Ring is born when creative minds like Hidetaka Miyazaki (Dark Souls series) and George RR Martin (Game of Thrones) meet. Like Dark Souls, Elden Ring is set in a dark fantasy open world with ruins and dungeons that players are free to explore on foot or on horseback. The mechanics and graphics are also unmistakably from the Souls games – but that’s a good thing. The sophisticated combat system, while complicated, is as rewarding as ever once mastered.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for 4.79 euros (-88%)
The successor to this successful Star Wars game is in the starting blocks. Reason enough to return to the excellently told story of Padawan Cal Kestis. The game is set five years after the events of Episode III Revenge of the Sith. After the Galactic Empire wiped out the Jedi, Cal lost his connection to the Force. Now being hunted by the Empire, he must end his training and restore the Jedi Order. You meet a lot of familiar faces (or helmets) throughout the story, including Saw Gerrera (Rogue One) and even Darth Vader himself.
