As the sequel to the popular PS1 series, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s about Time delivers an all-new, colorful adventure starring the ex-PlayStation mascot. villain dr Neo Cortex returns in this part, opening Crash and Coco portals through time and dimensions. Both in terms of the general, of course somewhat spiced up, design and the level design, the game is clearly based on the original. Among other things, players can look forward to new abilities of the protagonists.

Overall, the modernized nostalgia bomb was well received by both critics and players. A meta score of at least 85 and a lot of ratings prove that. In general, many are happy that the old series is being breathed back into life with the 4th part. If you normally want to play “Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s about Time” on the PlayStation, you have to pay 19.95 euros. So you save with the PS Plus campaign.

A group of five vacationers come across a mysterious ghost ship in the South Pacific. On board they then have to deal with all sorts of supernatural horrors. There it is not only a matter of surviving, but also of solving a lot of puzzles. “Man of Medan” is part of “The Dark Pictures Anthology” anthology with three parts so far – a fourth is planned for this year. The horror action adventure game is strongly based on “Until Dawn” from the same developer studio.

Overall, opinions on The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan differ somewhat. While the PC version got quite positive reviews, things don’t look quite as rosy for the PlayStation. On the plus side are nice graphics and atmospheric, well-placed horror. However, PlayStation users have complained about the somewhat clunky controls. It has a meta score of 69.

Arcadegeddon (PS4 + PS5)

With “Arcadegeddon”, PS Plus subscribers can look forward to a fairly new title. The villain in the varied world is a large corporation. Alone or with three other players, you have to explore the game world, take part in PvP events and diligently collect loot in boss fights.

The colorful shooter actually only appeared in April 2022. The comprehensive PS4 and PS5 release for the PlayStation is in early July. So far, the game was only available via Early Access for 19.99 euros; from the beginning of July, non-subscribers will also have to pay EUR 29.99. The long test phase gives us hope that we can look forward to a carefree, well-designed co-op shooter.
