Princess Charlotte takes her big sister’s job seriously.

Charlotte resolutely instructed her little brother during the carriage ride. ANDY RAIN, AOP

The 70-year-old Queen Elizabeth, 96, celebrated the weekend with a Trooping the Color ceremony on Thursday. The festivities were kicked off with a parade of the armed forces and a ride from the royal family, when Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, attended the parade for the first time.

Duchesses Camilla and Catherine sat in the same carriage with the children. During the carriage ride, the audience also got to witness how Charlotte took over the duties of her big sister. The siblings waved to the audience while driving, and soon George and Charlotte stopped waving. Louis, on the other hand, continued to blink – until he got a note from his sister.

Charlotte lowered Louis’s hand resolutely, even though the prince tried to keep waving despite his sister’s obstruction. The children’s clever gestures were recorded not only in the pictures but also in the video.
