Charli XCX is releasing a new album with “Wuthering Heights”. The record is the official soundtrack for the remake of the only novel by the English writer Emily Brontë.
British singer Charli XCX promises us a new album with WUTHERING HEIGHTS. This will also be the official soundtrack for the film adaptation of the same name by director Emerald Fennell. It will be released on February 13, 2026 – one day before the theatrical release on Valentine’s Day 2026.

According to Charli The trailer was released by the production company Warner Bros. Pictures on November 13th and provides more insights into the film drama than the teaser that was already circulating in advance. Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi will star in the two main roles.

Creation in exchange with the director
The contact between Charli The singer herself suggested the idea of writing an entire album as a soundtrack. The approach of entering a radically different world particularly appealed to her artistically: a world without distance, “without cigarettes or sunglasses”. Charli described her creative process as a deep dive into a world that felt to her “raw, wild, sexual, gothic, British and tortured.”
The first songs provide insights into the sound world
Two tracks from WUTHERING HEIGHTS have already been released in advance: “House”, a collaboration with Velvet Underground legend John Cale, and “Chains of Love”. Both songs also appear in the trailer and give an idea of the dark, passionate nature of the film. “House” suggests a more cinematic language with its atmospheric instrumentation and expansive structure. “Chains Of Love,” on the other hand, combines the Charli Both titles provide a promising insight into the British musician’s stylistically diverse overall project.

Adaptation of a literary classic
The film adapts Emily Brontë’s novel Wuthering Heights, which she published in 1847 under her pseudonym Ellis Bell. Considered a classic of 19th-century English literature, it tells the story of obsessive, destructive love and the complex relationships between the Earnshaw and Linton families and the foundling Heathcliff. The trailer and songs depict a dark, dramatic and emotionally intense work. In 1978, Kate Bush had her breakthrough with her debut single “Wuthering Heights,” based on a TV adaptation of the material. The record will be Charli XCX’s first soundtrack album – and the next big musical project following her 2024 BRAT success.
