Three people were said to have been injured in the incident at the Albert Heijn, which took place just before ten o’clock. They are ‘possibly the victim of a stabbing incident’. “It is now being investigated,” said a police spokesman. The injured have since been taken to hospital and two people have been arrested. All five involved would be known to each other.
Four minutes later, a serious single-vehicle accident occurred on Nijverheidsweg with a car in which four people were sitting. Three of them were injured. One of them was trapped and had to be freed by firefighters. An air ambulance was also deployed for assistance in the accident.
The spokesperson was not yet able to say whether the two incidents have anything to do with each other.
