Changing of the guard at PSV: Marcel Brands can get off the list at Ajax

Former technical director at AZ Marcel Brands will start a new job at PSV next summer. Brands who was named as one of the candidates as successor of Marc Overmars at Ajax has signed a contract until 2027 as general manager in Eindhoven.

The 59-year-old Brands succeeds Toon Gerbrands (64), who is leaving after eight years. Both first worked together at AZ and later at PSV. Brands was director of football affairs there from 2010 to 2018. Brands then left for Everton where he was fired at the end of last year due to disappointing results.
