Change from Bruno Labbadia to CFC Genoa burst

The negotiations with coach Bruno Labbadia as the new coach at the Italian first division club CFC Genoa 1893 have burst.

The long-time Bundesliga coach has already been traded as the successor to the Ukrainian Andriy Shevchenko and should have come to the northern Italian city the day before.

Instead, the club announced the commitment of German Alexander Blessin.

The former VfB Stuttgart player received a contract with the current table penultimate in Serie A until 2024. The 48-year-old was last in charge of KV Ostend in Belgium.

On January 15, CFC Genoa 1893 announced the end of cooperation with Shevchenko.

Since then, Abdoulay Konko has initially taken over the management of the team.
