Status: 09/28/2022 10:53 p.m

After five wins in the Bundesliga and two successes in the premier class, the SCM had no chance against the handball star ensemble from France on Wednesday (September 28th, 2022). In the end, Magdeburg lost to PSG 22:29 (10:18).

The best Magdeburg thrower was national player Philipp Weber with seven goals. Four players scored five goals for the guests who traveled with the former SCM keeper Jannick Green.

The fans created the dreaded atmosphere right from the start in the packed Magdeburg Arena, but that didn’t inspire the team. The SCM had problems with the opponent’s offensive defense, Paris pulled away by four goals early on. Wiegert took his first time-out after 15 minutes and asked his players to be braver.

But Paris was undeterred at all and was already clearly ahead at half-time. During his second break, Wiegert grumbled about the many failed individual actions. Magdeburg didn’t even hit half of his throws, which was also due to the strong green.

PSG didn’t let up after the change and even increased their lead to ten goals. The German champion struggled against the guests, but was ultimately a class worse.
