Kylian Mbappé has led defending champion Real Madrid almost single -handedly to the round of 16 of the Champions League and degraded Manchester City to extras. The French top star scored all three goals (4th, 33rd, 61st) in the 3-1 victory of the “royal” in Bernabeu at home. The connection goal by Nico Gonzalez (90.+2) was without value.
Real had already won the first leg 3-2 at the “Skyblues”, the team of Pep Guardiola disappointed across the board. The aggregated overall result (6: 3) also clearly reflected the balance of power between the title girders of the past two years.
