Feyenoord Rotterdam surprisingly thrown the AC Milan out of the Champions League and thus moved into the round of 16. In the second leg of the intermediate round, the favorite, but also outnumbered Italians, did not get past a 1: 1 (1: 0) at home. Feyenoord had won the first leg 1-0.
Milan with the German central defender Malik Thiaw caught a measure in the starting eleven. After only 37 seconds, the Santiago Gimenez, who changed from Rotterdam to Milan in winter, scored 1-0 after submission from Thiaw.
After the change of sides, Théo Hernández provided the home side: because of a swallow, the defensive player saw the yellow-red card (51.). Feyenoord took control in an outnumber and equalized through a header from Julián Carranza (73.). That was enough for the Dutch. After the final whistle, Rotterdam’s Givairo Read still got together with Milan players and saw the red card.
