Yuriy Vernydub caused a stir with Sheriff Tiraspol in the current Champions League season. In the group stage, the Moldovan club defeated Shakhtar Donetsk (2-0) and even Real Madrid (2-1). The Tiraspol coach was born in Ukraine and therefore has a special relationship with the country under attack.
