The legendary singer Chaka Khan criticized the choice of Adele and Mariah Carey for the Rolling Stone magazine’s famous list of the 200 best singers in the world.

Carey is the 5th singer on the list and Adele is the 22nd singer on the list. Khan himself ranks number 29 on the list.

Khan didn’t mince his words on a recent episode of Los Angeles Magazine’s The Originals podcast. He says the people who made the list would need hearing aids.

– It must be bribery or something like that, Khan says about Carey’s choice.

– Okay. I’ll stop, Khan commented on Adele’s ranking.

Adele and Carey weren’t the only ones to be criticized by Khan in the interview. He also had a few words to say about the selection of folk singer Joan Baez, who is ranked number 189 on the list.

– Let’s be completely honest. That bitch can’t sing, Khan likes.

Adele has received many recognitions and awards in her career. PDO

However, Khan is satisfied that the number one spot on the list is held by soul star Aretha Franklin. He also praised singer Beyoncé, who is the 8th singer on the list.

– As he should be! Thank you! Even something has been done right, Khan says of Franklin.

In second place is R&B star Whitney Houston and in third is the soul singer Sam Cooke. The list has been criticized in public, as singer legends such as Cher and Céline Dion, for example, are completely missing from the list.

Mariah Carey has a long career behind her. PDO

Khan started his career back in the 1960s when he was a teenager. He came to the attention of the general public in the 1970s with the funk band Rufus. Khan has won 10 Grammys in his career and has been nominated 18 times.

Khan’s most famous songs include I’m Every Woman and I Feel For You. Khan has performed in Finland three times in 1993, 2002 and 2017.

Adele recently stopped her performance to help a fan.
