The accident completely blocked the left and center lanes. This causes significant traffic disruption towards Ghent: anyone driving from Kortrijk-Zuid towards Deerlijk is already losing more than an hour. A viewing traffic jam is also forming in the opposite direction, towards Kortrijk, from Waregem.
Emergency services are on scene to deal with the accident and clear the roadway. It is currently unclear how long the disruption will continue.
