Since 2000, Alpecin has been associated with the team led by the Belgian brothers Philip and Christoph Roodhooft. The agreement with the German hair shampoo manufacturer includes an option for another year.

“Alpecin has been an important part of our structure for many years and we appreciate the trust they continue to place in us,” the Roodhooft brothers say in an explanation. “This gives the organization clarity and continuity, allowing us to plan ahead and continue to strengthen our base.”
Dutch people and successes
In addition to Van der Poel, the Dutch Tibor Del Grosso, Oscar Riesebeek and Senna Remijn also compete for the Belgian team.
In recent years, the formation has achieved many successes, especially through Van der Poel, who won Milan-San Remo, the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix several times and became world champion in 2023. His Belgian teammate Jasper Philipsen also wrote that first monument in his name. It was also often a hit in the big rounds. Not only through Van der Poel (two stage victories in the Tour, one in the Giro), but also through Philipsen, Kaden Groves and the already departed Tim Merlier and Jay Vine, among others.
