CEO Maura (33) wants to break taboo and shares her salary of 10,000 euros gross on a billboard: “All that mysterious stuff… It keeps people financially ignorant”

As of today, there will be a very remarkable billboard in Antwerp’s Zuidpark. A young woman looks straight into the lens and reveals her gross monthly salary in plain letters. It concerns Maura Nachtergaele (33) from Deinze. She is CEO of software company Payflip and shares her salary with the whole of Flanders. “Too often we talk about our wages like our grandparents talk about sex: awkwardly and in whispers.”
