Celtics start with bust against the defending champion

National basketball player Daniel Theis and the Boston Celtics started the quarterfinals of the playoffs in the North American professional league NBA with a defeat.

The record champions lost in game one of the “best of seven” series in their own hall on Sunday against defending champion Milwaukee Bucks with 89:101 (46:56).

Theis came off the bench and scored two points and two rebounds in just over four minutes of play. Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo had 24 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists. His teammate Jrue Holiday beat the Greek by one point and became the top scorer of the game. Game two will also take place in Boston on Wednesday (1:00 a.m. local time).

With Maxi Kleber (Dallas Mavericks) there is a second German in the NBA playoffs. The Mavs have to play against main round primus Phoenix Suns in the west.
