Celtic Glasgow dismantle Rangers in the “Old Firm”: New signing Jota scores

18 points from six games

Celtic Glasgow clearly won the first so-called “old firm” of the season against arch-rivals Glasgow Rangers. The defending champions demolished the Europa League finalists 4-0 (3-0) on Saturday and extended their lead in the Scottish Premiership with 18 points after six matchdays to five points. Liel Abada (8th minute/40th), €7 million newcomer Jota (32nd) with his eighth goal contribution of the season and David Turnbull (78th) scored for the champions.

Celtic will meet defending champions Real Madrid in the RB Leipzig group on Tuesday (9:00 p.m.) in the Champions League. Rangers visit Ajax Amsterdam on Wednesday (6:45 p.m.).
