The annual NEWS survey, prepared by Giacobbe & Asociados between December 5 and 16, generated a widespread stir on social networks by revealing the 100 most influential personalities in Argentina in 2025. Javier Milei leads for the third consecutive year, followed by Donald Trump and Lionel Messi. The list includes living, deceased and collective entities, with historical figures such as San Martín (4th), Maradona (8th), Perón (10th) and even Jesús (19th). But what caught the most attention in X were the positions of influencers, journalists and celebrities, unleashing reactions between pride, irony and criticism.
The most talked about case is that of Daniel Parisini, “Gordo Dan” (@GordoDan_), in position 55 – described as “the President’s best-known tweeter” – above Lali Espósito (71). Gordo Dan celebrated with a post that accumulated more than 7,000 likes and 250,000 views: “Thank you Revista Noticias for highlighting me among the 100 most influential people of the year!” The comparison unleashed ridicule and memes: accounts like @GigaTTS_ and @losmejoresonlin highlighted that “Gordo Dan was in 55th place, and Lali Depósito was far behind, in 71st.” Another user, @martuuu16_, ironically said: “Gordo Dan was ranked 55th… While Ladri Depósito was ranked 71st. Do you realize that winning the elections is everything?” These responses reflect ideological polarization, with pro-government sectors celebrating the rise of milleista digital figures.
Others enthusiastically celebrated its inclusion. Journalist Jonatan Viale (@JonatanViale), included in the list, published: “An honor to be among the 100 most influential in Argentina”, accompanied by screenshots of the survey, generating hundreds of interactions. Agustín Laje (@AgustinLaje), in 49th, wrote: “For the seventh consecutive year, I am among the 100 most influential people in Argentina. This time I have to be the only one from Córdoba in the ranking. Thank you to all my followers and readers for the invaluable support in 2025. May 2026 bring us new victories in the cultural battle!” His post exceeded 4,000 likes. Emmanuel Dannan (@DanannOficial), at 70th, added: “For the sixth consecutive year… Against all odds, FREEDOM TRIUMPHS.” Eduardo Feinmann (@edufeiok) also thanked her for her position, and related accounts highlighted Victoria Villarruel (73rd).
Even international figures like Nayib Bukele (20th) were highlighted by Salvadoran and Argentine users. There was also criticism: some questioned the high positions occupied by several influencers, and others lamented notable absences.
The survey confirms the growing weight of networks in current influence and became a new chapter in the Argentine cultural battle, with debates about representation and polarization that remain valid.
