In Great Britain, the rains that have continued for weeks have caused the Thames River to rise above its banks. The British Environment Agency has now issued flood warnings around the country.
The homes of famous people have not escaped the floods either.
Daily Mail says that the Berkshire homes of actor George Clooney, comedian Russell Brand and presenter Debbie McGee have been flooded. Locals of public figures are worth many millions of pounds.
According to the magazine, for example, the garden and tennis court of the 12 million pound luxury apartment owned by Clooney and his lawyer wife Amal Clooney are covered in water.
The place known as Castle Clooney is located in the village of Sonning. In addition to that, the couple also has homes in Italy, France and Los Angeles.
Brandi’s £3.3m home in Remenham and McGee’s home in Wargrave have also not escaped the floods.
According to the Daily Mail, McGee’s home has been the worst affected by the floods. According to the magazine, his home is practically completely surrounded by water.
McGee, known as a television and radio host, has faced flooding problems before. In 2024, according to the Daily Mail, he had to flee his home because the Thames floods caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.
According to the Daily Mail, the house has flooded several times in recent years, which is why McGee installed a sump pump system to avoid further damage. However, the high waters caused frost to the system in 2024.
