Cedric Wilmotte becomes CEO of Michael Kors

Cedric Wilmotte returns to Michael Kors and takes on the role of CEO.

Wilmotte will take up the position effective April 3, Capri Holdings Limited, the parent company of Michael Kors and Versace and Jimmy Choo, said on Monday. He changes within the US fashion group and comes from Versace.

Wilmotte was President of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region from 2008 to 2021 and then switched to the Italian fashion house in January 2022. He worked there as interim CEO until September and has been Chief Operating Officer since then. Other stations before his time at Michael Kors were the brands Marc Jacobs and Donna Karan.

“Cedric is a strong leader with extensive retail and merchandising experience and a deep understanding of the Michael Kors brand and customers,” said Capri CEO John Idol. “Cedric has proven to be a versatile leader within our group having achieved great success at both Michael Kors and Versace.”
