CEBEO trucks tests first electric truck

“We have more than 50 own vehicles on the road every day to deliver material to our customers or to our branches. One such vehicle emits about 20 tons of CO2,” says Lieselot Viaene of CEBEO.

Adjust freight schedule

The company wants to test the electric car in order to possibly switch to several electric cars in the future.

Yet that is not self-evident. The electric truck has a payload of 8,500 kilograms, but the maximum range is around 200 kilometers. As a result, the entire freight schedule has to be adjusted, because that is just enough to make deliveries to customers who are not too far apart, for example in Kortrijk.
