Musician and journalist Cay Karlsson died at the age of 79.

Musician and journalist Cay Karlsson has died. Karlsson was 79 years old when he died.

Born in Helsinki, Karlsson started his career in the band The Scaffolds. Since then, Karlsson has been heard in several ensembles, including the band Cumulus.
Folk music band Cumulus was founded by Karlsson, Anki Lindqvist, Heikki “Hector” Harma and Sakari Lehtinen.
In addition to his music career, Karlsson worked at Yleisradio for several years. He initially worked as a journalist and later hosted several radio programs such as Arla, today, Liv i luren and Lördax.
