A year after his death, actor Ray Liotta’s cause of death was announced. The Hollywood star, best known as mobster Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s 1990 GoodFellas, died in his sleep of pulmonary edema and acute heart failure, according to documents obtained by TMZ. The newspaper reports that Liotta had fluid in her lungs and was suffering from breathing problems. His death was classified as “natural and non-violent”.

The publication also pointed out that Liotta battled atherosclerosis, a condition in which the arteries thicken from plaque buildup. He was 67 when he died in May 2022 and was in the midst of filming his film Dangerous Waters in the Dominican Republic.
